The Rapid Support Forces is closely and appreciatively following the intensified international efforts regarding the situation in Sudan. We extend our sincere thanks to His Excellency President Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, and to the rest of the leaders of the Quad countries, for their valued efforts and their commendable mediation aimed at resolving the Sudanese conflict, stopping the war imposed upon us, and ending the suffering of our people. As we announce our full and serious response to these initiatives, we affirm to the Sudanese people and to the international community that the true obstacle to achieving peace is the clique controlling the decision of the Armed Forces, composed of remnants of the former regime and leaders of the terrorist \u201cMuslim Brotherhood,\u201d who ignited this war with the aim of returning to power over the bodies of innocent civilians. The Rapid Support Forces reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the Sudanese people and to the international community not to retreat from our people\u2019s goals and aspirations to dismantle the entrenched system of empowerment and corruption established by the Islamists within the military institution and the rest of the state\u2019s institutions, and to move forward toward addressing the root causes of the crisis and building a new Sudan with a single, professional, national army free of extremist ideologies.<\/p>\n
